Wonderful! Jim was more than prompt in communicating with us and really felt it was important for us to be well educated on all types of locks for our purpose and the rationale behind each. We got quite the education simply and easily explained and were able to make an informed decision rapidly and chose the Schlage products. He performed all the needed work in about 5.5 hours, had to redrill several bolt openings, and his rates were more than fair. We were replacing some very low quality Kwik Set locks installed by a door company 7 years ago and some higher end Titan locks that we’d had for 20+ years. We wanted one key for everything and Jim made that happen with some tips on upgrading our security as well with different types of keys that are available. We highly recommend him and will use his services again if needed in the future.

Jim is an excellent locksmith. I have already recommended him to a number of people. He is very patient, explains various options, let me supply some hardware and he supplied some after we discussed. He clearly stated how much he would be charging (rare), no estimates for me. Very reasonable/fair rates, works cleanly and did I mention he a great guy. I asked for recommendations for other companies and trades and he gave his honest opinion. I used some of them and his advice was spot on. I thank him for that.

Florida Keys rekeyed all the locks in our house.  From our first call to finalizing the bill, this project went perfectly. They are prompt, professional and knowledgeable so we think that is just about as good as it gets. The rekeyed 6 locks, adjusted them and lubricated each even though all we expected was set of new keys. Would recommend them to anyone.

I called thinking my deadbolt had failed and needed to be replaced, and also was interested in making my sliding glass doors more secure. I spoke to Jim on the phone and he didn’t think we’d have to replace, possibly re-pin. They have a $48 call out fee which I did not find at all unreasonable, he gave me an ballpark estimate on the re-pin and on the slider lock and said Gary would be out and gave me a one hour time window. Gary was here within the window and in less than 5 minutes told me all I needed was lubrication! The lock is rarely used and simply had gotten gunked up from the salt air. He not only took care of that, but noticed that the lock wasn’t really installed properly (we’d always had problems with it). He drilled out the bolt hole correctly and completely lubricated the deadbolt and our garage entrance lock as well. He then took a look at the slider and had a quick and inexpensive fix for that as well. It’s a triple slider which opens on both ends, so he installed two locks on it as well.

Quick, professional, great price and excellent work. It doesn’t get much better than that! I highly recommend Florida Keys.

Replacement of hardware, locks and handles, on double front door.  I called for an appointment, and Jim showed up precisely on time. He gave me a full array of hardware options, with no pushing for the most expensive option. He also gave me a conservative, and ultimately accurate, delivery time. When the hardware arrived, he installed it quickly and professionally, and cleaned up impeccably, even though he could barely walk with an injured knee. No problems, no surprises. I was extremely happy.

My front door deadbolt had fallen off when I tried to lock the door from the inside and the whole lock just fell off the door. I called Jim from Florida Keys and Locksmith explained to him what had happened and he came right over. He had to redrill the hole in the door to fit the new lock properly, adjust the sides so the door would lock the right way. Jim was very pleasant, he explained what had to be done and the cost. I was very pleased with Jim he did an excellent job with the lock.   I would recommend Jim to anyone who needs a locksmith.

The lever lock was not engaging. Repaired the lock as well as informed us that the specific make of our lock has had problems recently.  Suggested I call the company (he provided the phone #) and exactly what i needed to request.  He also explained how to replace the part so that we would not have to incur extra expense to have it installed.

He knew exactly what the problem was after I explained our problem.  He came prepared and knew exactly what he was doing.  He was very professional and courteous.

Jim from Florida Keys and Locks came to my home the same day I called him and didn’t charge extra. The company has been around for several years in Florida and I look for that as a matter of trusting someone coming to my home. Also, he was really great on the phone, letting me know he would help me right away.

This is a really good company—

I called Florida Keys and Locksmith this morning because of an incident in my area and wanted my locks changed. The locksmith came to my home within 45 minutes to help me. He came in, listened to my needs, looked at my locks, and answered all my questions- even though I had loads of questions. He was knowledgeable, gave me all the options to choose from, gave me prices and explained the pros and cons of issues I had.

When I made my decisions, he took care of my doors and windows. Came in and explained each lock so I would be comfortable.

I paid him and he was done. The reason I really think he was so good was that he didn’t try to oversell anything to me. I asked about a couple of issues and he told me the truth- I didn’t need that type of lock- he could have made more money from me, but didn’t take that option–So, I would definitely say that I suggest if you need a locksmith service in New Port Richey that is GREAT, contact this provider– I will use them as my go-to Locksmith from now on!!!!
